Oporto: 10 men’s and 8 women’s teams for an intense weekend of EBRA – branded Beach Rugby

Everything is ready for the Porto Beach Rugby 2019: from this evening, in fact, the teams will begin to arrive and from tomorrow, with kick-off scheduled for 11.30, the matches will be played without stopping till 19.00.  Porto is the second tournament of the EBRA Series. Great expectation for this event that is gaining, every year, the national Rugby scene and more. In fact, there are numerous Portuguese teams ready to do battle to earn those points necessary to carve out a space in the 2020 EBRA Series final; we remember that the panel for the 2019 final was decided by the scores achieved in 2018, while this summer we play access to the 2020 final. << We have worked a lot and in an increasingly professional manner – comments Nuno Gramaxo, one of the event organizers – now the field will have the last word. Personally I expect a beautiful oval show, in a context that we have tried to exploit at 360 ° >>.

Beach rugby fever invades Oporto

The stadium installed at Praia Internacional brings together 600 athletes at Porto Beach Rugby, next weekend. Two days of intense beach rugby, which will challenge the best of European beach rugby. There will be the French masters, the tenacious South Africans, the concrete and organized Portuguese, without undermining Curacao. In short, in Porto for the second leg of the EBRA Series, some of the best beach rugby teams in the world will compete and the show is guaranteed. << We have worked so hard to get to this point – comments Nuno Gramaxo, one of the organizers of the Portuguese event – we are trying to offer an important service, because we are aware that this sport can give so much prominence to our city, but above all to the rugby movement in general. The organizational machine is at work, there are only a few days left and we are refining the details to best accommodate the many teams that have signed up. A prediction? I do not, what is certain is that it will be a beach rugby show over a weekend >>.
